Traditional White Weddings Just Got a Splash of Sun!
July 24, 2014

Why hello world;
So, it seems that the age-old idea of a traditional white wedding has been ditched and we're in the age of more modern wedding styling, we're more comfortable throwing a bit more colour and vibrance in to our weddings, and personally I think I love it. Especially with us being in the height of Summer, Yellow and white wedding themes are the perfect way to invite a little sun in to your big day and capture an essence of love and light, when it's needed most.
So these are my top picks of yellow splashes you could incorporate in your special day:

1. This is a Stunning Ivory wedding dress, with a twist. This yellow ribbon being worked through the corsetry on the dress adds vibrance and personality to a simple and elegant gown.

2.This yellow Sari, is a wonderful representation of a little eastern culture being incorporated in to your wedding. It's beautiful bright colours could light up any room and cause the bride to be the absolute centre of attention

3.Now we go from an Asian twist to an African one, this bride is adding her own twist on a white wedding with a Gold Gele which is a traditional West African head dress which is usually worn in times of celebration.
People of West African descent have a custom of having two separate weddings, one which is styled a bit more traditionally and closer that in their country of origin. The other is a traditional white wedding more familiar to the Western world.
To combine these two events and have one big wedding which satisfies the two cultures which collectively make your personal identity but want to work on a budget.
An African bride could put on the Gele and statement gold jewellery pictured above to have the best of both worlds especially for interracial couples who wish to put the essence of them both in to one big day.

4.Next we see another hint of Asian culture with these Chinese lanterns, though these started as mainly oriental decoration, they are a great and vibrant way to quite literally bring a representation of the sun in to your wedding with their Ariel hangings.
They cause all guests under them to feel like there are quite literally miniature versions of the sun inside, giving the whole venue a glow and new found warmth which could be lacking in a plainly decorated venue.

5.These beautiful Diamond ring and Diamond earrings are not made with just any diamonds, they're made with stunning canary diamonds. The symbolic essence of the yellow color is renewal, hope, cheerfulness and sunlight. Therefore a yellow diamond ring is said to bring blessings of joy and prosperity in a couple’s life.
So, it will be a perfect gesture if you propose to the love of your life with an engagement ring with yellow diamond, as it will signify a cheerful and happy future for both of you. The earrings are also a wonderful idea if you're thinking of a more extravagant gift for the bride to be to wear on the big day.

6.With their optimistic colour and general association with good cheer, yellow roses are the perfect way to toast friends, lift spirits and send a general wish for well-being.
The rose is generally known for its simple architectural beauty but the many variations and colours can cause confusion in terms of meaning and what is most appropriate but it's safe to say you can never go wrong with yellow roses.
Long associated with the sun and its life-giving warmth, yellow is the age-old spokes-color for warm feelings of friendship and optimism. In many Eastern cultures, the color represents joy, wisdom and power.
Though any yellow flower will send a lighthearted message, the history of the yellow rose in particular has an optimistic ,spontaneous character that really makes it the complete package for a wedding or any joyous occasion.

7.Yellow bridesmaid dresses
Yellow is always preferred by outgoing couples and is a color that is full of positive energy. It bears the spirit of bright, optimistic and full of the promise of a happy future. Often this kind of wedding is filled with entertainment and music. Yellow fits spring wedding well as it symbolises a new beginning.

8.The flower seen used in this man's button hole is a craspedia flower which is indeginous to New Zealand and also brings some sun and beauty to a wedding.

9.Kissing balls are carried by flower girls an alternative to baskets of flowers or scattering rose petals. Many churches will not allow fresh rose petals to be dropped, since they can damage carpet.

10.And a little zest to your wedding with these lemon meringue macaroons

11.Mango and Yoghurt gelee with meringue
